IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Chicago Section Welcome Reception

Guest speaker:  Lorena Blonsky, LMB Associates

Keynote Speaker:  Wanda Reder, S&C Electric

Wanda K. Reder is the immediate Past President of the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) and Vice President of Power Systems Services for S&C Electric Company. Previously, she served as vice president of engineering and system planning and vice president of asset management for Exelon Energy Delivery. Reder received a B.S.A.E. from South Dakota State University in 1986 and an M.B.A. (New Ventures) from the College of St. Thomas.

In 1989, Lorena M. Blonsky founded LMB Associates, a Chicago-area search firm specializing in the recruitment of information technology professionals. The company has been certified by the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC) and the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as a woman-owned business. Previously, Blonsky was a Senior Associate at Korn/Ferry International. She earned an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University. Blonsky will speak on job strategy, networking, and career transition.

This will be our only event before we break for the summer and we will reconvene in the fall with much more to come.
